A few highlights from Wave 2 release of Dynamics 365 Business Central are:-
Adapt faster with Microsoft Power Platform – It’s easier to set up workflows in Business Central. Microsoft are delivering templates that support more scenarios out of the box, so that you can automate more processes to be more productive. Additionally, you can consume business events with the Business Central Power Automate connector.
Intercompany and consolidation features now work across environments – This allows broader use of the multicompany capabilities. The supply chain capabilities in Business Central are improved with several optimizations and enhancements that let you run your inventory and warehouse processes more efficiently. For example, Microsoft have improved the picking process, fulfilment suggestions, SKU management, and added granular warehouse configuration for manufacturing and jobs.
Searching of company data – this enables users to search across the whole Business Central database. For example, users can now find vendor ledger entries, invoices for different vendors and customers, all via the search bar in Business Central.
Country and regional availability – Microsoft have expanded the global availability of the service. Business Central is now available in more than 130 countries and regions worldwide.
Taking Copilot to the next level – providing more capabilities for people to optimize their processes and complete tasks faster with the guidance of Copilot. Developers are already enjoying Copilot in Visual Studio Code and the AL experience, and there’s more to come in that area.
Improved link sharing – you will now be able to share customer cards directly from Business Central into Teams and other platforms, so your colleagues can easily access Business Central records and information, including a visual representation of the card you’re sharing.
